Rand Paul Wants Former CIA Director Security Clearance Revoked

Former CIA Director John Brennan is back. And, according to Sen. Rand Paul, he may be making a fortune by “monetizing his security clearance.”

Paul tweeted the suspicion early Monday morning. “Is John Brennan monetizing his security clearance,” Paul asked. “Is John Brennan making millions of dollars divulging secrets to the mainstream media with his attacks on @realDonaldTrump?”

Paul followed up by commenting on his previous tweet, “Today I will meet with the President and I will ask him to revoke John Brennan’s security clearance!”

Brennan, who admitted to once supporting the Communist Party presidential candidate, has been openly criticizing President Trump. “Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of ‘high crimes & misdemeanors,'” he tweeted last week. “It was nothing short of treasonous.”

Brennan was the Director of the CIA from March 2013 to January 2017. He also served as chief counter-terrorism adviser to former President Obama. In 2016, Brennan confirmed he voted for Communist Party presidential candidate Gus Hall, instead of Democrat Jimmy Carter or Republican Ronald Reagan.
